HR 101: Did you know?


Did you know that Massachusetts is an “employment-at-will” state? This means that both the employer or employee may end the relationship at any time, with or without notice. Does that mean that you should terminate an employee that you have issues with immediately? Not necessarily. An employee may still take legal action, if they believe the termination was discriminatory or inappropriate. There are ways to terminate the relationship that make your case stronger, should an employee allege wrongful termination.
