A preliminary injunction against the increase of the white collar exemption, just put a halt to many employers' plans to implement a change that has been coming for months. What's an employer to do? Right now, the best thing may be wait and see. For those of you, who've already implemented pay increases to staff, it would be very challenging to roll things back. The federal rule scheduled to take effect on Dec. 1st had intended to increase the salary threshold from the current, $23,600 to $47,476 to be exempt from overtime.
